Due in october/november have already purchased OSFA little lambs as they were on an amazing offer and saved £65. But they are big and I think they would be better for an older baby.

I like the little lamb bamboo size one, but Im waiting for a deal on them from the little lamb website.

Ive just been surfing the net trying to gain a bit more knowledge and found Easy Peasy Nappies website and they are selling easy peasy eco bimble nappies for £4 each. Has anyone used them? Are they good?

Or if anyone has any other tips or nappy recommendations please post.

If you want a one size nappy to fit a newborn then bumgenius nappies are the best in my opinion. They are pocket nappy which have a thinner insert for a newborn. Then a larger one for older babies, once the thinner insert is not enough. Most one size nappies I wouldn't put a baby in until about 10 lbs.

At the moment you can buy them online from mothercare and delivered free. They are £16.99 each but are 3 for 2 at the moment. So you can get 3 for £32. Or you can buy packs of 5 for £77, and they are in the same offer, plus you save 15% if you spend over £100 so that's £131 for 15

I used easy peasy BUMBLE from birth but I had large 9lb babies so I reckon the bimbles would be great if you're expecting a smaller baby.

They are great I used them unboosted but folded down to make them smaller and fit, then I used really thin flanette boosters between the nappy and the wrap and then I boosted them as normal. They were also the only nappies that fitted my hugely tall 2.5 year old as they were long enough in the rise.

Personally I've never got on with pocket my dds just didn't suit them I'm afraid. I think it's very good to try a few different types though.

thanks ladies for your replies, Ive looked at bumgenius but they seam expensive, but I might shop around.
Thats good to know that you had good experiences with Bumbles, Im liking the price of these as Im a bit strapped for cash.

Has anyone used muslins on new borns>? Ive been reading a bit about this today, not sure how I feel about it, I need more experiences from others I think.

Ive filled in a questionaire on the nappy lady website, so hoping she will be able to help me out.

I had big babies so really would have found muslims a waste of time and a faff. I did however need the smallest size wraps because they still start off with skinny legs!!!!

You can boost bumbles with cheapo flannels from ikea, or muslims (fab for quick drying I should think) what I liked was the fleece inners and elasticated legs are fantastic for exposive newborn poo explosions. I used motherease and popolini airflow wraps.

random thanks good ideas there, I've been thinking about muslins and I'm not sure DH will be able to fold them properly.

I am now swaying more towards the bumbles.
Easy peasy website do sell them cheap.

Also I used up my freebie newborn nappies to get through the meconium stage as it can ruin your lovely fluff Grin.

You could invest in bamboo for boosters when you need them - very absorbant without being bulky.

I just tucked in the front of the bumble and with a nappy nippa got the perfect fit from when they were newborn to the end.

5 little lamb sized pockets for £30 at fluff heaven if you're looking a deal on them. I've heard the sizing is also quite big on size 1 though. I have size 2s and love them.

fanjodisfunction · 08/07/2013 21:32

Maybe that's the way I should go bamboo boosters and fleece nappies? Maybe they will dry faster that way and also soak up better.

Freebie newborn nappies?

Oops I misread you're after the 2 part ones. Also an excellent nappy - completely bombproof in my experience

fanjodisfunction · 08/07/2013 21:35

Ohhhhh heading over there smaths!

I was given a load of 10 year old Bumbles by a lovely MNer and they are fab! I started using them unboosted and folded down on my 2nd centile daugher at 9 Weeks (9lb) so they do fit smaller babies too.

We boost them at night and for long journeys, they fit nicely under a Motherease Rikki wrap :)

That said I got some bargainous Gnappies and Bumgenius Freetimes on the Preloved cloth & accessories Facebook page for DP/nursery as they're slimmer and easier to use than NIPPA'S (well so he claims , I love nippas :o) but I still use Bumbles mainly.

I really don't get on with pockets tbh.

fanjodisfunction · 09/07/2013 21:17

Thanks peanut that's good to know that they have a long life, I'm liking the sound of them more and more!
