Am I wrong to be a bit annoyed by this?

DS woke up vomiting in the nite and by this morning it was obvious he had a bug. He had been playing with a group of friends on Wed so I thought I would call the mums and let them know he wasnt well and to look out for signs in their lo's. Of the four friends one said 1. "Oh yes J started Wed nite and lasted till late Thursday", 2. Yes, T has it too, he started vomitting on Thursday but it only lasted the day luckily" 3. "Us too he has started vomitting this morning" and 4. "Oh, B had this on Monday and Tuesday but didnt think much of it"

I am a bit annoyed that I was the only one to think to call and let others know though parent 3 admittedly had just got it and really annoyed that B. came to the playdate even though he had a couple of days previous to playing.

Do I just need to get over myself and get a little more sleep or would you be a bit annoyed too?
Do you call others that your kids have been playing with if they come down with a bug?

Honestly, children can and do catch things. From friends, playgroups, SHOPS, from all over the place and lots of things are airborne so unless you live in a bubble you really can't avoid it! It wouldn't occur to me to let someone know that my child was ill if it was a cold/mild sickness which it sounds like in this case, it really wouldn't. Honestly, there are more important things in the world to worry about imo.

also perhaps it does depend how much your kids get out and about and meet other kids. Mine are 2 and 3 and are out every day at the park, playgroups, nursery etc etc. I'd have to phone the world if I was going to report every bug they got. I guess if they only went out to meet other kids once a week or something like that, it might seem more worthwhile trying to keep tabs on bugs.

stomach bugs are truly gross! Disgusting things. I can't stand that 2 week snotty nose thing you get with bad colds though, myself, as well, always ends up all over my hsoulder - yeuch!

dd has just thrown up in the car on the way back from a party - 2nd time in less than 3 weeks and she had reflux as a baby so is prone to vomitting at the slightest provocation, therefore I tend to assume it is not a tummy bug but just her !

When mine are ill I wouldn't let them go near other kids until they've stopped vomiting for 12 hours.
I simply wouldn't go to a playdate under those circumstances knowing my kid had been sick the night before.
