leaving DS with BF - when? (confusing myself)

Not sure if this is the right place but I was thinking today about this. At what point/time is it okay/acceptable to leave DS with the BF or let them do thing/go places together.
I know there is a big difference between popping out to the shop and picking him up from school and an 'activity'

I'm not talking now but for the future as DS only just met BF (but BF is now spending a fair amount of time at mine which I think is okay for DS but I'm not sure - we have been dating for 6mnths)

I'm confusing myself now

How old DS? How does BF feel about him? Does BF have own kids? How long piece of string?!?

Yeah fair point Ginger DS is 3, BF has no kids and does seem to like DS (and DS seems to like BF)

IMO, not until I was committed to bf as a forever relationship, until I trusted bf with my life, until I knew him well enough. None of these can have a timescale attached though.

Speaking as someone who as a child had a string of my mothers BFs introduced, became attached to them and then they left, I really wouldn't have even let them meet until I was pretty darn sure of the above.

HP I am fairly sure of all the stuff you mentioned well maybe a long term relationship if not forever (I am a massive over thinker and don't want to count my chickens) but are terrified of doing this wrong. He's the first BF I have ever introduced the DS (So the first serious relationship in 3 and a half years)
