Can anyone look at my 8 month old's routine please?

I think DD is going through a sleep regression, she is nearly 8.5, months old. She was reliably sleeping through the night (7-6) from 3 months to 7 months. We started weaning at 6 months but she didn't really eat anything until 7 months. She was having 5 bottles at wake up, then loosely 10, 2, 6 and 10. About two weeks ago we dropped a bottle and this is roughly her day:

Bottle (210ml formula) approx 6.30am
Nap anytime between 8-9 or 9-10 (anything from 30 mins to 1.5 hours depending on night sleep
Breakfast (porridge or yogurt) approx 9am ( lately doesn't want porridge)
210ml bottle at 12pm
Sometimes another short nap
Lunch between 1-2pm (small hot meal, homemade usually)
Another nap in the afternoon, I try not to let her sleep after 4.30
Offer more food between 4pm and 5pm, she was having another small hot meal but has gone off this lately so its currently a fruit pot or yogurt and boys of finger food.
Bath every other night around 5.30/6pm
210ml bottle 6-6.30pm (she used to have some wind down time after this and before bed when she was sleeping through but since her night sleep has been disrupted she often falls asleep during this feed so we try to push it back as late as possible
Rock to sleep at 7pm, put in cot usually within 15 mins though lately up to 30 mins
Dreamfeed around 10pm.

She has woken up several times between 7-10pm lately and wakes at least 2/3 times+

Whoops posted too soon.

She is waking up 2-3 times or more in the night from
1am onwards, I am not feeding her but she is tricky to settle and thrashes about it her cot but will fall asleep in my arms.

I am wondering if my routine is ok and we should ride it out or if something needs changing? She is definitely not eating as much solids as a few weeks ago.

She has no teeth but is teething and has just started crawling.

Sorry, long post but any insight appreciated!

Hmmm,

Just thinking what I did with my kids at that age....

Milk 1st thing 6ish, then snooze for an hour or so, up and breakfast at 7ish

Potter about and then nap at 10-11.30ish
Early lunch, do something (park, coffee with mates, baby group)
Nap from 2-4ish
Food
Bath, stories, bed by 7

If I were you I would try and get a bigger nap in the morning and afternoon and try and drop with third nap. I would also cut out the dream feed and offer water instead?

However in saying all that, when the kids wouldn't sleep in the night I would just pull them into bed with me and breast feed to sleep!

Teething? Calpol and ride it out.

We have been giving calpol, sugar free but I swear it makes her more awake/ hyper!

Today she was up at 6, bottle at 6.30, refused breakfast at 8.30, had a tiny bit of cheese and some fruit at 9am, slept from 9.30-11am. I am guessing she was tired from waking up ten times last night!

This was my dd2's routine at 8 months old...

Wake 6.30, bottle with breakfast.
Play, and back for a nap at 9.30 for an hour.
She wakes and got a 4oz bottle with fruit/snack
Lunch spot on at midday, down for a nap after, til about 3.
Awake, for another 4oz bottle and snack.
Dinner at 5.30/6pm with water.
Bath at 6.30 and a bottle before bed which would be 7pm.
Never heard a peep out of her through the night.
The morning, lunch and bedtime bottles were 7oz.

I found Nurofen better than Calpol, and a hcp once told me tht it's faster acting, and you can use both, as one is paracetamol based, the other is ibuprofen anti inflammatory drug based.

My DCs routine at this age was similar to Longdistance i.e. only 2 naps in the day, so they're really tired by bed. And don't let them sleep after 3pm.

But likewise, yes babies do go through phases where their normal habits do out of the window! It's frustrating, but just ride it out. They do say that if they were a good sleeper once, they will (eventually) go back to being a good sleeper.

Jumperooo, my ds is nearly 9 months and the nighttime shenanigans sound so familiar! I would echo other posters and suggest there's nothing Wrong with the routine. We were in a similar situation to you until about 5 days ago and now he's sleeping through again without any changes to routine. I'm sure there'll be more teeth again soon and we will be sharing the nighttime blues once more. Hang in there...

OK, thank you!
