DS is 5 months an thinking about ordering a high chair. We don't have much space so I want one with a small footprint - I don't intend to fold it when not in use as I'm happy for it to stay up but I just don't want one that is too wide at the bottom. Other features I would like are easy to clean and able to adapt height/pull up to table and remove tray.

Just to be different, we used the fisher price booster seat from when DS was 6months and it was still in use, directly up to the table, til he was well over 2.

We didn't want a high chair in the kitchen for months/years taking up space and this was fantastic. Also v easy to take away with you on holidays or family visits.

We have the Tripp trapp and love it! We bought the baby set (front barrier and higher back) set and used from 6 months. We also bought the harness but never used it. My DD never attempted to do anything other than sit there so it was a bit of a needless faff! Don't bother with the cushion either! An effort to keep washing!

She is 18 months now and we have removed the baby seat and she climbs up and down from the chair herself!

We don't have much space so we just bought a booster seat that straps onto one of our chairs. It's been great and also means we have something to take when going away. If I did have a little more space I would have gone for the Antelope but then we're IKEA junkies!!

*antilop

We have a Tripp trapp (still, DS is 5, it's now a chair) as it goes well with our furniture and doesn't look like yet more baby plastic. We also had an antilop for grandparents house but they had storage space to tuck it out of sight when not in use. Both amazingly simple bits of design, one more aesthetically pleasing than the other Grin

The famous antilop is excellent value, and we bought two - one for the grandparents & one for holidays, but it does have a wide base & I'm forever tripping over the damn thing as I walk past. At home, we have the Tripp trapp, which was donated by a friend moving abroad. Much more pricey (glad I didn't have to pay for it) but it's brilliant, stylish, grows with the child, and I have NEVER tripped over it! Smile
