recommendations for learning spanish online websites

i would love to learn spanish and now i have the time but unfortunately not the money to pay for a course. i thought i would learn it by myself and wonder if anyone can tell me of any useful websites.

You say you don't have the money, but some adult education courses are very reasonably priced.

I'm going to watch for useful suggestions as I already speak Spanish but the DC could do with some practice, and having not studied for 7 years so could I.

try the BBC as a starting point. There are loads of sites - I wouldn't want to recommend because what might suit one person wouldn't suit another. I would simply google and start to play around and see what makes sense to you. The BBC is a good starting point and is very comprehensive. You will also find free stuff on the Open University website.

I second that learning at your local college, probably in the evenings, is likely to be very cheap and is likely to be more motivating than sitting yourself in front of a computer and trying to make things make sense.
