6 yr old dd waked up today and gave a cry. I rushed in and found her sitting in bed with a stomach Llike a pregnant woman! I have tried getting her to poo by giving her prunes, rubbing her stomach and making her do cycling legs but nothing works. She can't go out as none of her tops fit her and her trousers wount button up. Please help as she keeps cryin and poking it.
Thanks in advance.

Try warm water followed by walking up the stairs. DD is 2 and this does the trick if she has a blockage.

If she is in pain as opposed to discomfort you need to get her seen by a dr today. She might have a proper blockage. I think they call it a fissure. Not a doctor (clearly!) but I would be asking the practice nurse for advice.

Thanks.
Called Dr and a&e and our hv for ds but they are all clueless about the stomach thing and said the same as we said. Tried your ideas but she Is in pain walking

How is she now?
If you think it's trapped wind get her to get down on her hands and knees, rest on her forearms and stick her bum in the air for a while. I was told this tip when I was pregnant and suffering and it usually gets things moving!
I'd be taking her to the GP in the morning if no improvement I think.
Is she too young to take Windeze or Wind Settlers?

Hope things are better for her tomorrow. Poor thing must be so uncomfortable.

I would be taking her to the GP in the morning too if no movement.
