My friend's having a baby boy, what advice have you got?

My friend will be giving birth to her PFB baby boy in less than a month!

I wonder if you could all post with snippets of advice for her to help her through the first few..... days/weeks/months ?

She's hoping to BF and has got some cloth nappies, so advice specifically related to those would be lovely too :)

I agree with exotic. Take any help going! Also be easy on yourself and don't make too many plans (from writing books to sleeping when the baby sleeps or being too house proud) if they don't work out it is really easy to get down. I think to a large extent you have to take it as it comes.

I'd also recommend getting in a baby group of some sort. You may not make life long friends but just knowing that other people are going through the same thing as you is very normalising. they will all have different challenges but it's pretty much guaranteed that no one will have plain sailing.

I have a 5 week old DS, he's ace!

the nether regions - there's so many crevices and nooks and crannies! and ALWAYS poo hiding under his dangly bits!

nobody warned me.

He is also the noisiest sleeper ever, snuffles and grunts half the night!

I would add check under the testicles for poo too I always find a grainy bit there

Tell her to enjoy her ds! My second one is 20 days old, and I swear he has doubled in size already. I've already been thinking about when I'm having my next one
