Please give me great reasons for having two children

I have two children, aged 5 and almost 2. I've been pregnant 6 times and have had many issues. We are desperate, really, for a third child, but found out yesterday that our recent IVF cycle failed. We are considering another try, but at $14,000 we are not sure if we can do it (we are in the US, my health insurance doesn't cover fertility treatment.)

I need to start thinking of the possibility that we may not be able to have another child, as painful as that is to us. If there are people out there who have two and don't want/can't have another, and you are happy with two, can you please give me some positives to focus on. At the moment I am struggling.

Thanks.

Hi Anglo, sorry to hear of your struggles with having a 3rd baby. Sad So upsetting to hear the IVF wasn't successful.

Well, I have 2 boys. We don't have room for any more children and we kind of knew 2 would be what we were having.

As they have grown (they are now 13 and 11) their requirements have changed so much that I think any more would have been hard for me personally.

Just for an example we have football for the two of them every weekend. Time consuming, involving DH and I needing to ferry one or both of them to matches. Plus lots of training midweek involving DH and I.

Homework. It is very full on. School full stop is very full on. Uniforms, gym kits, trainers, school trips. ££££s

And not too far from now I will have 2 teenage boys. Shock And all that comes with them. Maybe Uni, driving lessons etc. More £££££s

I am happy at two. Smile
