Best disposable nappies for all night?

MB34 · 06/03/2013 08:56

I use cloth nappies but for the night I find I have to change DS at least once, which disturbs his sleep and even then he still might leak.

I do use the inserts for the night but it still doesn't help. He is only 3 mo and still feeds 3 or 4 times a night. I'm hoping that as he gets older and starts waking less, the cloth will be ok.

But until then, I'm thinking of using disposables just for the night - any recommendations for nappies that last all night?

TIA

we also use reusable nappies but disposable at night due to leaks. pampers new baby are the only ones that don't leak IME

CelticPromise · 06/03/2013 09:05

I don't know about disposables, but I use two terry nappies on DS at night with a Motherease wrap. No leaks! 3m probably a bit little for two nappies but maybe nappy and booster? just a thought.

I use ASDA Little Angels and find they only leak when you need to go up a size (as with most brands)

Pampers all the way! Though saying that, I have two friends that swore by Boots own brand.

LarkinSky · 06/03/2013 09:11

Pampers 12 hour have never leaked nor need changing between 8pm and 8am :-)

Indith · 06/03/2013 09:11

Aldi

We cloth bum too but if I use a disposable at night Aldi is the only one that doesn't leak or just generally feel a little damp on the outside by morning.

Iwantmybed · 06/03/2013 09:15

Lidl are the only ones that didn't leak for us. Pampers was virtually every nappy, Asda and Aldi were only occasionally leaky. However so far not one leak with Lidl. They also have MN stamp of approval on the packaging.

SomethingAboutNothing · 06/03/2013 09:25

Pampers baby dry works for us.

anotherbrewplease · 06/03/2013 09:34

Pampers - definitely

notcitrus · 06/03/2013 09:48

Lidl better than Pampers IME and half the price and doesn't smell funny. May depend on shape of your baby.

Dd started using them at night around 4 months. Ds was in cloth at night until over a year, until it became too hard to get nappy and about 4 boosters into a wrap on a squirming child.

Fairylea · 06/03/2013 09:49

Pampers baby dry. Or a Charlie banana nappy with both inserts.

HappyJoyful · 06/03/2013 10:25

Interesting on the Lidl's ones.. Must say the cheapest pampers have never worked for us - though friend had no problems with them.
I met a rep in the supermarket once and she said the Active Fit were the best they make.
Also, think other's have mentioned we've had biggest leaks when DD been in an in between size and she's been in the bigger size, reverted back to the smaller and stopped.

Purplecatti · 06/03/2013 11:02

Pampers baby dry with the sleep motif on.

GandalfsHat · 06/03/2013 11:03

Pampers. A lot cheaper if you can get it from somewhere like Costco.

bonzo77 · 06/03/2013 11:20

Boots own brand are fine for DS for an 8-9 hr stretch.

ItsallisnowaFeegle · 06/03/2013 12:05

Another thumbs up for Asda little stars and a vote for Tesco own brand.

My DS is 12 weeks, we've tried Pampers and Huggies and the above, own brand, nappies perform just as well and are much cheaper!

ct148 · 06/03/2013 16:28

Pampers active fit all the way! Although have never tried Aldi or Lidl nappies so found this thread interesting for that

blackteaplease · 06/03/2013 16:31

Tesco or sainsbury baby dry last all night for 6mo ds who feeds in the night. Don't get active fit, they are thin for ease of movement and therefore soak up less.

enormouse · 06/03/2013 16:34

I tested disposables for the mum and baby awards and the best I found were pampers active fits with just4bums and asda little angels coming close second.

Pampers Baby Dry at night. No leaks! Lidl Toujours during the day. Cheaper and less smelly.

peacefuleasyfeeling · 06/03/2013 16:48

Naty Baby Care, available from Boots and Waitrose among others, biodegradable. It's a white packet with picture of a wholesome-looking baby of the appropriate age for the size of nappies in the pack frolicing in some idyllic setting such as a wildflower meadow. Never a leak.

carrietwick · 06/03/2013 16:53

Boots Superdry nappies - I have a 5 month old and they keep her dry for 12 hours at night, they're so amazing I go out of my way to buy them. (Huggies Superdry are also just as good but as they're being discontinued not much point in starting with them!)

Indith · 06/03/2013 16:57

Basically they are all the best so long as they work for you! As with cloth nappies they all suit slightly different shapes so it is a bit of a case of trying them and finding what works.
