DD slept from 7 till 7 at six months she had been formula fed since 14 weeks. DS is just over 6 months and still wakes to be fed in the night he has 1 BF in the morning otherwise formula now.

koalabear · 03/05/2006 22:11

DS from birth to 10/11 months, was up in the night up to 2 or 3 times.

From 10/11 to 18 months he slept from 7 to 6ish.

He slept through from 7 to 7 at about 18 months.

DD slept though from 7 to 7 at about 4 months proving that there is a god.

koalabear · 03/05/2006 22:12

oh, DS was purely BF to 4 months, then mixed to 7 months, then purely FF from there to 1 year.

DD was BF to 3 months.

DD slept through from 12 weeks. Big baby from birth and formula fed.

bramblina · 04/05/2006 07:45

DS is breastfed and had his first full night at 8wks (day of his imms) and the next 3 nights were the same. Then he woka again, then started sleeping through again at about 12 wks then at 5m started waking once then twice so we began weaning.

april74 · 04/05/2006 07:51

DD slept through the night from 6 weeks. He was bottle fed

april74 · 04/05/2006 07:51

sorry should be ds not DD and he was almost 9 lbs born.

Tutter · 04/05/2006 08:39

he hasn't - yet - and he'll be 1 in a fortnight! but i think it's more to do with the pesky heathrow flight path we live beneath - he tends to wake when the planes start - any time from 5am Sad

peanutbutter · 04/05/2006 08:39

ds slept 12/13hrs straight through from 4m. he is bottle fed.

Tutter · 04/05/2006 08:42

oh, and he was breastfed.

1Baby1Bump · 04/05/2006 08:44

ds 9 months. still wont sleep thru.
breast then bottle.

FrannyandZooey · 04/05/2006 08:44

12 hours?

I have high hopes for when he is a teenager. He is 3 now.

alex8 · 04/05/2006 08:47

bf 3.5 months but only for 3 blissful weeks,

then began doing it regularly at 6 months

Xavielli · 04/05/2006 08:58

DS slept through the night from 8weeks and was formula fed. I can honestly say I have only been up with him in the night once since then when he had croupe (sp?) I LOVE my son! at 3 weeks DD is doing 6 hours at night.... trust me, its nothing I am doing, my babies just love their sleep.... as does mummy.

Imafairy · 04/05/2006 09:07

DS slept 12 hours from 11 weeks (bless him!) - he was a big baby, and was bottle fed from 1 week.
Let's see if I'm as lucky when # 2 arrives later this month!!!!

charliemouse2 · 04/05/2006 16:33

DS is 8 months. Was fully bf (now nearly fully weaned - I say that but he still has a feed at around 3am. Joy.

He has slept through about 3 times ever, but as a rule - no. Usually wakes just as we're going to bed (even tho we're REALLY quiet), and then again around 3am.

Worse when we're not at home. He woke every HALF HOUR at his godmother's. Oof. :( SHATTERED is not the word.

Am totally Envy of those whose children have cracked it! But am resigned that it may be some time before I get a full night's sleep again.

And DH thinks it would be good to have another before DS is 18 months!

Ha ha ha!

charliemouse2 · 04/05/2006 16:35

It does seem to be the case that ff babes sleep longer.

What is mother nature playing at?! Why isn't breastmilk delivering the same 'knock-out' punch?! Wink

rummum · 04/05/2006 16:37

both of mine slept through from 7 - 7 at 11/12 weeks both were big babies and bottle fed..

tessasmum · 04/05/2006 16:40

It can! DD slept through from 13 weeks, DS still hasn't at 5 months! Both were/are bf.

Tatties · 04/05/2006 16:58

The words ds, sleep and 12 hours never go in the same sentence in my house... He is 13mths and yes, he is bf...

fruitful · 04/05/2006 17:05

12 hours? Slightly hysterical ROFL!

Dd manages that about once every 2 months. She is 4 in a couple of weeks. She sleeps from 8 till 7 about 4 nights a week. The other nights we'll be up in the night for her (only for 2 minutes, but thats enough!). She was breastfed and started doing the occasional 10 hour night when she was about 11 months.

Ds sleeps from 7:30 till 6, about 6 nights a week. He is 14 months. He was formula fed and started doing fairly regular 10 hour nights at about 12 months.

12 hours. Hah! When they're 13, I expect.

FrayedKnot · 04/05/2006 17:16

Woke 2-3 times between 7pm-6am for the first year.
At 13 months started sleeping 7pm-6am
Was sleeping 12-13 hour stretches by 16 months.

Was BF until 19 months, but I stopped nightfeeds at 13 months..and he stopped waking up!

alex8 · 04/05/2006 19:02

I know 3 bf babies who slept through very early (5, 6 and 10 weeks) and 2 bottle fed babies who woke every night till they were almost 3! So isn't always the case.

velcrobott · 04/05/2006 19:03

12 hours...
DS at 4 months
DD at 3 months both fully breatsfed
I'm sure that will annoy some !!!
