Probably in as they sucking gives comfort and helps prevent the crying which will make excess wind more likely .Doubt if its proven though

Not as a cure, but if its a comfort, try it. Colic is terrible. I had it with my first born. Lying on tummy over a covered hot water bottle helped him a little.

There were no Dr Browns bottles then, but if they are bottle fed, I would recommend these wholeheartedly.

When Dd had colic she found sucking helped comfort her and settle her. Therefore a dummy did help her, yes. Didn't cure it though. Just temporary reprieve for a bit.

Agree with LaylaandSethsmum, it prevents crying so prevents wind. Seems to make sense to me anyway.
