Can anyone help me work out what is wrong with my baby's bottles?

I've tried nuk and tommee tippe size 1 bottles for my ds, 4 weeks.

I didn't really get on with the tomee tippe ones as I thought there was an issue with the lids; the lid had to put on at a very precise tightness otherwise the bottle would ether leak or spray out far too fast.

A friend gave me a couple of nuk bottles to try, the smallest size with size 1 teats. I loved them, there was no issue with putting on the teats and the flow seemed nice, not too fast or slow. I ordered a larger nuk bottle as the ones my friend gave only hold 120mls. However the exact same issue, the teats seem funny. They either leak or if I out the lid on tightly there is a spray which is far too fast.

What is wrong? Confused I've spent a blooming fortune on bottles so far!

How frustrating!! I'm afraid I can't think what's wrong with your new bigger Nuk, but I used Avent (after experimenting with several others including Tommee Tippee and ones' purporting to be good for colic) and I found them to be by far the best and most user-friendly. If I was you I'd give Avent a try.

We use Avent bottles as well and haven't had any problems. The larger size holds 260ml.

Avent here too - no problems at all...

Just a thought - when I make up a bottle with really hot water it always sprays for a couple of secs if I leave it to cool a bit - does it continue to spray?

Avent, but the more expensive ones, ( I think they are called durable, slightly yellowish) as the normal ones are leaking too if you do not put the plastic band carefully.

Avent too... It might have something to do with the water temperature

Avent are great, they have a little ring that goes between the bottle and the screwtop which not only stops leakages but is better for colic i believe xx
