Potty training and naps?

Cods bootcamp says no nappy for the afternoon nap but ds just wees while he's asleep?

Also have been going for 4 days and absolutely no wee accidents (while awake!) but no poos in potty or on toilet yet. He doesn't seem to know it's going to happen. What should I do?

anchovies Ds was 2.2 [2.6 now]when I trained him and to be honest if we are home I put a nappy on him.mainly to save his duvet if he is asleep. However if we are out or he falls asleep downstairs I leave him undies and he has only ever wet himself once. For some reason if he is in his bed he wets himself all the time dont know if he falls into a deeper sleep.

Thanks nemo, will carry on with the nappy for naps then.

Anyone got any ideas about the poo problem?!

DS (2.5) had a similar problem with poos at first - seemed to have no idea they were coming. I perservered and he got it, probably a month after he "got" wees.

He was potty trained at about 2.3 as well (didn't have the nap problem as no naps anymore).

sorry my DS problem was to pooh in the corner of his bedroom was a weird marking his territory type of thing..lol

It wasn't quite as bad as that Grin - he would get defensive about it (saying "no" which we knew meant a poo was either happening or going to happen) and I would generally manage to get him to a potty first.

There weren#t that many pooed in pants, honestly :)

Hi. I have found that my ds will tell me he has tummy ache before he actually has a poo. This usually gives me enough time to get him sat on the toilet and read two or three books before he gets the 'urge.' He is just over 3 now and fingers crossed, has just been potty trained (took since last Thursday). He is still having afternoon naps and I have found he doesn't do anything whilst asleep. He has even stopped weeing in his pull ups at night - saves it until the morning when he can go to the toilet and wave goodbye to it!
