Tell me about your changing bag

I have a bottomless pit which usually has the kitchen sink in it.

I need to scale down. Ds is 4yo, potty trained for ages and usually fairly good with toilet issues. Dd is 1.9yo and still in nappies (already showing signs of potty training readiness but not verbal enough)

Can you show me your bag and tell me what you have in it? :)

I have 18 mo twins and have a huge bag that I did need when we were carting bottles / formula / weaning food around but is now way too big - it has nappies, wipes, snacks, water cups, koodi portable high chairs, bibs, toys or books if we're going somewhere they need to be entertained. I dont take changes of clothes since they stopped puking everywhere although I guess that will change when we get to potty training!

I empty and restock it every evening so it's ready to go the next day because if I didn't it would be something else to get ready before going out and it takes long enough to make it out of the door as it is!

Never had one ever.

Just chucked a couple of nappies and a half-pack of wipes in my normal bag and went out. Still do - DD is 21mo.

I have an old but posh jasper conran handbag. I have a muslin, change of clothes, nappies, nappy sacks, wipes, disposable mats and a travel changing mat.
My baby's poos are BIG so I have to be prepared

I have a washbag that I chuck into whatever other bag I am taking out, or just sling it under the pushchair.

I have three pull-up nappies (I find them easier for standing-up changes when there are no baby changing facilities), small pack of wipes, nappy sacks, lightweight change of clothes (vest, long-sleeved top, tights, leggings), small bottle of antibac hand gel. Tbh it doesn't get used very often, but I replenish it as soon as I get home if I have used anything. I used to also carry spare knickers, socks and leggings for DD1, but have stopped doing that for a while (she's 5 now).

I don't put snacks or drinks or anything in with nappies, I usually have them in a separate little cool bag, which will also get put in my big "main" bag, or also slung under the pushchair.

I have a changing mat that folds up and has pockets for nappies and wipes. I just chuck this in whatever bag I fancy with a few snacks and a sippy cup.

I've never worked out what people keep in these huge changing bags (apart from gin) :o

I think I was lucky in that DD never threw up so never needed extra clothes, also I breastfed so didn't need to lug bottles around. Never even bothered with a changing mat - just used my coat until she could stand.

I'm with Moel, I just have a couple of nappies & some wipes (DD is 17 months). When she was tiny I used to carry around a spare babygro too in case of poo explosions, but don't bother anymore. Usually have a box of raisins too.

I have a small kids size rucksack from jojo maman bebe, its a bit wider than the "character" ones you get, like Thomas etc and although its small I can fit in a few nappies, wipes, spare clothes for DS who is not 100% reliably potty trained, snacks, a couple of small books (like Mr Man) and my purse and keys.

Ok, when my ds was born in 2008 I bought a pacapod bag. They were new at the time and they don't seem to do my one anymore. They've also gone up MADLY in price. It's big thing was it had two small bags inside which you could use singly. Enabled you to be v organised and access everything easily. At this stage (ds3.5 and dd 1.11) I just use one of the insert bags or jst throw a bottle and some snacks and nappy and a few wipes in a nappy bag into my handbag. I only use the whole thing if we're going away for a weekend or flying.

It's really good and my sister and cousin were so impressed they boght them too. They got much nicer ones, mine is v plain. They only did 3 types when I bought. Not sure if they are worth the current price tag though.

Just took a spare nappy or two and some wipes in my bag.

I put nappies, wipes and a change of clothes for ds2 in my regular bag. Unless we are going to a cafe/bar then I will arm with pencils etc.

Hmmm. I have a scruffy rucksack that on a typical day includes: wash bag containing nappies, wipes etc, wallet, phone, sippy cup, muesli bar, raisins, chocolate bar wrappers, receipts, an apple core in a plastic bag, a book, a teddy, one mitten, USB drive, 3 duplo bricks, a plastic cat, a painted paper plate made at playgroup (shedding glitter over everything else in there...) and a secret stash of mini eggs. Think I need a changing bag rethink too

I forgot the change of clothes, wellies and crayons. That bag's like a tardis!

I always think 'oh I can pack really light' but then by the time everything is in it, it's HUGE! I used to use a Bababing changing bag, but I found that it's just so bulky even when there's hardly anything in it. Now I just have a huge canvas bag.

Usual contents for DS who is 22mo (dread to think how it will explode when DS2 arrives..): Changing mat, 3 nappies, wet bag, wipes, sippy cup, snacks, muslin, bib, spare vest, some toys.

I've got changes of trousers and vest for two, eight nappies, wipes, dummies, anti bac wipes, several toys, a drink for both boys and a bottle of water for me, acouple of snacks, DS2's allergy kit, DS2's waterproof trousers, my purse, phone and keys all in a skip hop duo deluxe I'd like the double version but it's too pricey.
I used to do the travel light thing but had too many expensive days out where I'd had to buy new clothes following a poonami that I became better prepared.
I love the idea of pacapod but I don't like any of the bags.

I use a yummy mummy change bag when taking the pram - was perfect with a newborn but not really necessary with a toddler, but I hate carrying a handbag while pushing the pram and means there's room in there for some shopping.

If I'm not taking the pram I just throw the essentials into my normal handbag :)

I realised how little I need to carry around for myself when ds was born - just my wallet, keys and phone really. I have a jujube satchel style changing bag but have also recently bought the matching zeta vooom changing bag (soo not like me!) and love it.

Ds now 17mo and I usually carry: 2/3 nappies (used cloth until 1yr hence the previous bigger bag), pack of wipes, mini pot of sudocreme, mini pot of CJs butter (great for dry skin), nappy bags, mini board book, straw cup for water, various snacks, shoes (if in big buggy), spare vest and light trousers (mostly in case of sitting in a puddle these days!) hand cream (for me), tissues, wet bag, and changing mat.

I have 4yo ds and 3 mo dd. My nappy bag has:

• spare pair boys pants
• nappies and wipes
• spare babygro
• bag mini cheddars in case of hungry ds
• half eaten bags of mini cheddars
• mini cheddars mashed into bag lining
• changing mat
• lip balm / gloss
• handcream
• wallet
• a book (huge optimism in case of dd asleep while ds charges round soft play centre)
• miscellaneous toy cars / rubbish MacDonalds toys
• muslin and bib / baby bottle

Just call me Mary Poppins...

Mine is a huge bag to big now DS is 1 and eating normal food and only has 1 bottle.

DS is 4 months. I have a babasling change bag & have: 3 nappies, wipes, nappy bags, 2x babygros, 2x vests (poo explosions fairly common for us!), change mat, 2x rattle toys, muslin, hat, mittens, socks (not sure why, they're just in there), and sometimes a blanket and/or a dummy. That's just the main pocket!

The back pocket is mine so has my purse, e45, Vaseline, phone, keys. Front pocket has a spare top for me (past puking incidents) and the red book.

I have a phil and teds changing bag, after a massive clear out it now contains.
