DS2 just told a school mum EXACTLY how I feel about her child!!!!!

To cut a long story short I had a nightmare experience with a boy DS2 had home for tea a couple of months back - it was a "return the favour" job and by the time he went home I thought "vile child and horrifically, rude mother". Anyway, DH and I were away for the weekend and a friend of mine was looking after the children. While waiting to collect DS2 from school this kid's mum came up and basically tried to bully my friend into taking this child home to our house for tea, despite the fact that she had never seen my friend before in her life. The mother turned around to my DS and said "you want X to come back to play, don't you?" at which point DS2 replied "I don't think my mum would like that. The last time he came she said he was really rude and bad mannered and it took ages to get rid of him when it was time to go home". Oops Blush

LOL, you can always rely on kids to embarrass you! Grin

WigWamBam · 25/04/2006 20:38

You have to be soooo careful what you say in front of the kids ... my dd can't wait to dob me in if she hears me moaning about someone!

Mmmm, lovely kid, lovely mum.

Isn't it for the best that your DS2 said what he did?

spidermama · 25/04/2006 20:47

Maybe it's the best thing in the long run sunny. I bet it was a horrible moment though.

starlover · 25/04/2006 20:47

ahhh well, at least you won't have to have him over again Grin

Given the history I was rather proud of DS2 but I was a bit afraid of looking like a total b*h if I put that in my original post! The mum is as thick skinned as a rhino anyway.

I don't think not wanting to have a horrible child over makes you a bh. (If it does, I bet most of us are bhes!)

sunnydelight · 25/04/2006 21:01

Oy spidermama, if you can stay up this late you can come to mine on Thurdsay night Grin - don't think you can hijack your own thread can you!!!

Sunny I couldn't respond last night as I'd already gone to bed. Grin

I may yet make it on Thursday - but the odds are stacked against me. Either way we'll catch up soon.

sunnydelight · 26/04/2006 14:15

Was only joking spidermama Grin We've been away a lot over the past couple of weeks so if you can't make Thursday I'll e-mail you over the next couple of days and hatch a plan. DD has been asking to see your DS, though I had more adult pleasures in mind!
