My four year old dd watches one hour of TV a day

Is this too much?

I never really worried before, as we do plenty of other stuff. Pre-school, playing, baking and I read to her lots.

She gets tired, still has a nap occasionally, and enjoys resting in front of tele while I cook tea.

I wouldn't say so, dd1 watched lots of tv while her dgm watched her when I worked and she is a clever, funny articulate little girl with no problems

Yes. Her brain is going to melt out of her ears. Tomorrow.

Grin

It's fine. Really it is.

Tee2072 Grin

An hour a day is fine.

Kids like me were raised in the 70s and 80s watching way more than that and it never did me no harm, like.

rubberglove · 22/01/2013 17:12

Poppywearer I had a TV in my room from age 6 Shock

Little bit, rubberglove!

I have 3 chronic pain illnesses and when they all coincide my son spends all afternoon, after preschool, in front of the TV. He'll be fine, too!

Sorry to hear that Tee2072, that you suffer chronic pain.

When I had SPD when pregnant with dd, my ds watched a lot of TV. You're right, they will be fine.

Some of my favourite memories are much loved TV programmes. I have grown up okay!

My DS has croup and is at home and we have watched telly all day :( nothing induces guilt like it! They will be fine though, really
