OK, DD2 needs a middle name. Her First name is Ellie, last name begins with M so no
names or y/ie names.

And just to make it really easy I can't think of a single girls name I like! I need something a little bit different/unusual.....no old lady names!! Grin

I wanted the middle names to be meaningful - dh is from the isle of man so my dd's is Voirrey which is a manx name. DS is Harry after someone very close. Had he been a girl he would have been Scarlett - after a beautiful place we visited when I was pg. Could you think of a name like that? I thought it was a chance to use a name that you don't have to really love and can be different as they won't have to spell it their whole life.

Well my dd has same name and I have 2nd name Louise. Goes really well :)

granarybeck · 21/04/2006 22:42

Ellie Grace. I always think Grace makes a lovely middle name. Didn't choose it for dd for some reason, but then her middle name begins with an m!

ElliesMomma · 22/04/2006 09:10

Well my DD is called Ellie aswell and her middle name is Louise Smile

looneytune · 22/04/2006 09:21

Ellie Louise

Anoah · 22/04/2006 19:50

Marie? Carissa or Kerissa. I love those names.

SecondhandRose · 22/04/2006 20:01

Now I know I'm throwing a spanner in the works but is Ellie short for anything? If not could it be Eloise? I think it's such a beautiful name and you can still call her Ellie but when she's got her high powered job in the city Eloise will sound so professional. What do you think?

Anoah · 22/04/2006 20:05

Ciara or Chiara

Paige

Dimples · 22/04/2006 20:17

We gave our DD the middle name Belle. I think Ellie Belle sounds lovely!

youngmama · 23/04/2006 11:13

Rose
kate
dawn
may
claire

zephyrcat · 23/04/2006 11:26

Ellie isn't shortened - funny you should say that because I was thinking of names again this morning and was thinking if she needs to have a 'grown up' name in the middle.... the more I think about it the harder it's getting!! It's also difficult because dp and I like completely different ends of the scale when it comes to names. I like names that are a little bit different and unusual whereas he likes traditional names. He likes Grace, Blossom and Hannah, I like Jasmine and Savannah!

It's so hard!!

If I were rich and famous she'd be Ellie Boo!! Grin

why no old lady names? I think one of the nice things about middle names is that they are away of paying tribute to much-loved family members. my two sons have middle names that are their grandfathers' first names, and if I had a girl she would have had my grandmother's name as a middle name.

Em32 · 24/04/2006 12:54

Ellie Mae or Ellie Rose (I know you said no Ms but those kind of one syllable ones work best imo)

Peachyclair · 24/04/2006 13:56

oh I quite like the 3 / 4 syllable ones, katarina foe example. Ellie Katarina is nice. Rose is nice, my Nan was alice-rose and I like it hyphenated. Evangeline? Josephine?

What about Nadine?
