How to keep DD active while weather is bad?

I've never ever been particularly active, not even as a child, have always preferred indoorsy stuff and while my DD (2) likes indoorsy things I'm painfully aware that she needs to be burning off energy and getting fresh air. I take her to soft play every week and she likes dancing to music and running around at home but we've had such rubbish weather lately and I can't see it being much better for a while, so was just wondering what you do to keep your DC active this time of year.

I tend to weather proof dd and go for a walk or get the bus to a shopping centre so she can terrorise people there. places like local museums and libraries are good to visit as well, and get information on local events.
in the house, if you have an exercise dvd or dance game, she could copy the moves to the best of her ability alongside you for a little bit.
concentrating or mental stimulation can be tiring as well, so maybe something like making necklaces with beads, arts and crafts, counting games etc.
you could play games like follow the leader, take turns telling each other what to do, like star jumps, turning around etc.

Local park - wellies for stomping in puddles and wrap up in hats, coats, gloves. I take my indispensable Bodum thermos mug with me with fresh coffee to sip and keep warm while ds charges about and gets muddy. And soft play centres - what did parents do before these were invented??! Are there any mums and toddlers groups near you? Anywhere where she can run with other children will help burn off excess energy and keep exercised.

Wrap up and go out here as well. DD (15 mths) has water and wind proof padded trousers and jacket, thinsulate mittens, wellies, welly socks and a hat... In that lot there isn't much that can touch her Grin.

We take the the trike to the park, and do a couple of laps so I get my exercise (boy do I need it - this baby weight just won't go!) feeding the ducks on the lake as we go, then head to the play area where she burns off energy and I drink well earned coffee.

We go out in the garden and play with the trundle car, or a ball.

When it's raining I often stand at one end of the hall and DD will run to and from the post box on the door bringing me "letters" or posting them for me. Sounds slightly strange but she LOVES it and will do it for ages.

We dance to music, she has a rocker and a ride along in the house as well which both burn energy. As does practicing climbing the stairs (my DD has a LOT of energy, some days anything will do hehehe!)

Play group, visiting friends with children so they can burn each other out playing or inviting them to ours to play and going to soft play are things we do regularly too.

Oooh, I love the follow my leader idea, and practicing the stairs is fab. We actually live up an internal set of stairs which she's not very good at climbing so that makes perfect sense!

A workout DVD was my first idea but our flat is not very well soundproofed, I'd hate to be making my downstairs neighbour's living room ceiling light do a workout too!
