highchair advice please.

hi all.
I'm going to get a high chair soon for my dd2.
any recommendations please would be greatly appreciated.

Ikea Antilop - nuff said!!! It's cheap, sturdy, easy to put together and dismantle, very very easy to clean, and did I mention dirt cheap?

ditto. you dont need any fancy pants high chair. the antilop is excellent.

We ha a cosatto one (can't remember the name- it had a stick person design on it)... But as you will probably only use it for a year tops- consider getting the ikea one! (I did however manage to sell mine on, so not quite so painful!)

Ikea antilop. Comes with inflatable wipe clean cushion for babies so yes good for 6m.
I love it. We had two others which I couldn't get on with then found this! We bought another for mils house £15 I think

Don't get one with a cup holder! Makes it so much harder to clean

I have a mothercare one it wasnt expensive, can't wait to get my dd properly at the table with all of us. It just gets in the way.

Antilop. Love it.

FIL bought us a big wooden coverts to a table and chair one and its really NOT good. My DM has a Happy Snack one from.Mothercare and the creases will not get clean.

Another Antilop fan here! £15 for chair and tray. £5 for inflatable cushion. It's brilliant. Holds babies well, good height for tables. So easy to clean, can even stick it in the shower if it's really bad

I know people who bought a fancy high chair and swapped to Antilop after a couple of months.

Another vote for Antilop. If you are not near am Ikea, there are always some new ones for sale on eBay.

wow looks like antilop is definitely a winner. just Need to persuade dp to get to Ikea with me I know what u mean about getting in the way my dd1 had a big old brut which we later sold and got one that converts into table. brilliant she is now 8 and still sits at it to do her homework.

There was a problem with some safety belts, it doesn't apply to the ones they are selling now.

ah I c did think so just thought I'd put it up incase anyone had one from then.

I had a Greaco Teatime one, about £25 from Asda. It was a bit more substantial than the very basic ikea one (is that the antilope?) but still v cheap and the whole seat bit could come off and go in the washing machine. It folded away for storage as well.

Another Antiliop vote here. I love that it's light and the legs come off, so it's easy to transport: my SIL was hosting Christmas this year so we just put it in the car and took it with us. Easy to clean. Great size (fine for my average sized DS at 6 months with a little cushion at his back, and still fine now at 20mo and for the foreseeable future).

we got a lovely looking mamas and papas one that reclines and goes higher and lower etc but its massive and hard to clean. we never need to recline it and use the one height setting. it gets in the way and wish we had got a nice little one like the ikea one. don't bother getting a fancy pants one!

We've got that one bibs. Got it because it goes high enough for our breakfast bar, but it is big and huge and gets in the way and difficult to clean. And the uppy downy mechanism is bust. Love my Antilop at my mum's house.

Stokke Tripp Trapp I think I am the only person in the parenting universe who found the footprint of the Antilop too big and the tripp trapp matches my dining chairs

Another vote for Tripp Trapp. It's ££ but kind of an investment as it will become a seat for them as they get older.
We have the antilop at my parents & it's also brill. Seems quite small though. Not sure how comfy it will be when DS is a strapping 2 yr old.

thanks guys I did kindl of want a chair that reclines and goes uo and Down I know they would only be a short term thing so many to choose from lol. that Ikea one looks pretty hard??

Suppose it is hard, but its rounded, so comfy or so dd seems to think as she likes iy.
