DD has just pooed her pants AGAIN. She's fine with wees (3 weeks into potty training) but will poo her pants, not tell you and then deny it. It's driving me mad (and making me want to hurl...) Don't worry, before you tell me off (!), I haven't told her I'm cross, I've just (through gritted teeth, admittedly, told her it's made me a bit sad that she has pooed in her pants instead of her potty) but in reality I am spitting tacks I'm so mad. What can I do???? I've caught her straining a couple of times and managed to put her on the potty where she has pooed fine but I can't watch her every second (I have 14 month old ds too). ARGH!!! I know I've posted on a similar theme before but I'm getting desperate! She does't poo at the same time each day so I can't get her to sit on the potty then. I remember someone saying that after a while they had just laid down the law with their child saying no cbeebies until he or she pooed in the potty but I think it may be too early for that. What do you think? Thanks girls.

we have sadly very predictable mealtimes but what is not predictable is how much my son will eat and when I will see it all again in his pants. eg monday, one poo after breakfast, tues nothing, wed 1 poo at 2 pm and one at 2.45pm! Both at a toddler group. I have to carry so much more than when he was in nappies and its much harder to change pants. Iknew I was wrong to get excited about him going on his own this am. He was just after a chocolate reward.

so relieved to find this thread. DS1 toilet trained with no probs. Started DS2 3 weeks ago. He has only had one wee accident but also will not poo in toilet or potty. i was starting to get worried but reading this realise we are not the only ones going through this infuriaitng nightmare. Both my kids eat the same thing at the same time but have completely different habits. I'll keep watching for everyone's progress.

Morning girls

Well dd is a ticking time bomb this morning as she didn't poo at all yesterday. She's in a lovely summer dress (trying to make the most of the 5 minutes of lovely weather) but I've 'forgotten'...ahem, to change her into her pants this morning and she's still in her soggy nightime nappy (yuck!) I'll change her before we go out but I'm secretly hoping she might poo before I need to change her, I could really do without swilling out another pair of pooey knickers in the loo having been up since 4am with ds (who of course is now back in bed having a catch up snooze...grr!Grin)

Sorry the toilet trip wasn't a breakthrough alex8, it's sad the way we get so excited about a child saying they want to poo these days!!Grin

I like the idea about regular mealtimes sparklemagic, we're usually fairly routine but I might try to be strict this week and see what happens.

Good luck today girls, here's hoping someone has a breakthrough!

Hi everyone!I know this will probably make you envious but just want to share my joy at having two consecutive days of two poos in the potty!!!!!This is after having had at least 4 weeks of pooing in pants totally irregularly on a daily basis! After a V bad day on sat(3 poos &one on me!!!!)i was tearing my hair out and could never see when he would get it.Weeing is fine. However i feel we are turning a corner and there is hope for us all.Good luck to you all and keep up the alcohol for sanity :o

Thanks yummymummy (great name!!) so there is light at the end of the tunnel...thank goodness! Dd ran up to me in the garden yesterday saying 'I don't need a poo' translate to 'I've just done one in my pants' - I can't imagine what is going on in that crazy little toddler brain!

I am happy for you yummymumm.

We are already way over 5 weeks now so my tunnel is rather longer. God I can imagine this being like the ttc threads which I cannot go on any longer cos everyone else has graduated except me.
