Wobbly head in the car seat!!!

How do you stop a baby's head from tipping forward in a car seat? We have a Jane car seat and when we're out, DD's head seems to flop forward. It doesn't look comfortable and we're forever stopping to put it back in an upright position. How do you avoid this and how bad is it for a baby? Any tips?

can you position the seat so that it is a bit more reclined? does it have one of those head hugger things?

If its a Jane and is makes you uncomfortable, can you not put it in lay flat position?

In all honesty the "broken neck look" is quite common in newborns, and doesnt bother them at all. Stick to the usual rules of no more than 2 hours in seat at each time

im sure you are right to put the head back..... while its normal for their heads to flop, im sure if it were flopped and you were IN a crash it would be a VERY different story Shock

i agree, can you get a seat that reclines a bit more?

if the seat is rear-facing, the baby's neck will be ok in a crash.

agree that floppiness is normal at that age, but is a good reason not to use the car seat outside the car imho - if they are lying flat in a pram/pushchair or indoors there is no strain on their necks and spine and they can breathe more freely.
