if i use muslin squares on a newborn, do i just use one square and fold it?will this be thick enough?

Yep, one square BUT you can then pad fold another and place it in the folds if this isn't enough.

yeh i just tried out the origami one which it said was best for muslins. couldn't get the hang of it at first and nearly gave up throwing it across the room, but i found a different website telling me how to do it and i managed it that time. duno how good it would fit an actual baby though lol.

i used the origami fold on dd2 when she was first born and did it with muslins and flannelette nappies. Once you do it a few times you will be surprised how quick you can do it.

Also used a fleece liner.
