DS and I spend most days dog walking, house tidying, cooking, playing, singing etc until DH comes home from work. Now DH has 2 weeks off from work I am trying to think of some nice things we can do as a family. DH can't walk too far due to chronic pain, DS doesn't like being in his pushchair too long. Where do you take your 7mo and what are your holiday plans?

My days sound pretty much like yours!

We are planning to take our 8.5mth old DS to the London Aquarium during the Christmas break.

Other than that DH is going to take some of the pressure off me and spend so relaxed tie at home, playing itch DS

How about going swimming?

sharond101 · 22/12/2012 07:54

Are you looking for big outings or just something's to dol each day as a family? Do any of your local cinemas have "baby friendly screenings", know our local odeon does one each week.

Jilted Iam looking for a mixture. Didn't know about baby friendly screenings. He isn't all that interested in tv though so not sure it would float his boat?

I popped my 7 month old in his baby bjorn and walked around Rochester castle yesterday then went out for lunch. We are planning on taking him to places where we can walk around as he loves movement and being in the sling and has a very short attention span!

Think the idea of the baby friendly screenings is its a film for you. You can take toys and snacks for them and it doesn't matter if the make a noise.

Are there any city farms in your area or national trust properties? Think the nt load out those hip seats for free if doesn't like the pushchair too much and the bigger ones have golf buggies to get around in for DH. Your local nct group might still be running in the holidays if you and DS fancy a morning with some other local mums and mum to be, have a look at www.nct.org.uk.
