Running out of ideas to play.

Do tea-parties, read, TV etc. The weather just isn't good enough yet for her to play outside.

Any fun ideas???

Feel like she gets bored of the same old stuff.

Do you have a library? Most have a children's section, I recommend a trip once a week... just choosing the books can take a while, then you can read them together and encourage her to make up her own stories!!

If you don't mind the mess colouring is always an option.. or is she a little young for that?

Hmmm I'm running out of ideas now, eek Lord knows how I'll cope when my DD gets to that age! I truly believe tho' anytime she gets with you she'll enjoy!

Painting
Play doh
colouring/stickers/stamps
Puzzles (wooden ones)
Baking
Blow bubbles in the kitchen just before the floor needs mopping
Think it is OK for her to get outside for 1/2 hour or so. Maybe take doll's pushchair for a walk to the end of the street and back.

Wrap up really warm and brave the cold air. Do you have an indoor play area near you at all or some playgroups you could go to. Ds 22 months also loves looking at childrens websites on the internet if we are stuck inside for a long time. I find that if we move around different rooms of the house - living room/bedrooms/kitchen etc, he doesn't get as bored.

Thanks for the ideas.

We get out for about an hour a day normally, despite the cold, but she is an outdoor baby, and wants to stay in the garden for hours if she had her own way.

Play doh is a very good idea. The puzzles too. Will make a trip to the shop tomorrow I think.

Waterplay - mucking about at the sink with funnels and containers - my DS will do this for hours. Get her to help you do some basic food preparation - washing and chopping vegetables and fruit. Finger painting if you can cope with the mess.

Play-doh is fab, but if your your little one is anything like mine she will eat it!
