Packing her off to Nannie! Sorry not very helpful :)

But on days like this...

Painting, playdoh, 'cooking', role play games (shopping, cafe, Dr's), dolls house, cutting pictures out of magazines and sticking to make another picture, throwing (soft) ball, hide and seek toddler style (I.e all wrong), building blocks, reading and (whispers) TV Shock

DD dusted & we tidied and hoovered - shortly followed by emptying the Lego box (which meant more tidying later) to make first a castle & then a dragon which is challenging. Later on baked tea loaf, wrapped up warm and went to the library (& did puddle jumping & got very very wet & cold!). Followed by watching tinkerbell the movie (aargh), cbeebies and a CD on nursery rhymes which she dances to.

Got DS to "help" me tidy up the living room so we could do a jigsaw. (The tidying took way longer than the jigsaw Grin)

Rearranged his posters in his room too, taking down his old pictures and putting up new ones.

Forgotten to say read all of the library books repeatedly (& some old favourites) my voice is now going.....

My toddlers attention span for independant play at nearly 3 is getting better and better! Grin Today she sat there sticking bits and bobs in play dough for an hour and 15 mins while I was busy in the kitchen! I was so chuffed!!! We also have these Melissa and Doug reusable sticker books that kept her busy for a bit. She had a bath, went "fishing" with a pound land fishing rod and we played balloon tennis. Plus we did lots of housework! I only have one though, find it difficult to imagine a day in with two!!! Wink

lolalotta · 14/12/2012 18:03

We read lots of stories and watched some telly too! Grin

Why can't you go puddle jumping with 8 week'er in tow?

I put dd2 in the buggy in her snow suit and with the rain cover on and we are good to go.

We went to play group this morning (got soaked getting there and back again) then had playgroup friends over for lunch, then we went to the supermarket (the highlight obviously).

When ds was 8 months we still went out in all weathers with ds1. I put him in a sling under my (massive man's) coat and did everything as normal. I don't think we do them (or ourselves) any favours to stay in... Xmas Smile

Swimming class this morning, lunch, sleep, tesco.

If you don't mind a lot a bit of mess my 2 boys will play for aaaages with a large baking dish containing flour or oats. The big one (4yo) likes driving his car through the flour and making tracks and the 17mo likes to spill pour the oats from one cup to another and dig with a spoon. It all ends up being very messy and I have to stop myself twitching and hovering with the dustpan. It does clear away easily while they have a biscuit in front of cbeebies Grin
