We would really want to have another child- we already have two.Part of me thinks 'oh why not' and then the other half wqorries that we will be skint. We live on about 19000 plus tax credit and child benefit, we rent a two bed house and cant afford to buy a house but we manage OK on what we have.anyone else out there who has or wants lots of kids and not much dosh? All this talk on the news how many thousands of pounds it costs to bring up children- I dont really believe it

If you both want another have another. You can adapt your living costs to accommodate. There is never a right time iykwim.

I think once you have one, you can afford another. We just get by every month, and we have 1 DS and another baby on the way. I certainly don't feel the financial pressure I did when I was PG with Ds, as we have all the equipment, and to be honest, we have got used to being skint.

There's no right time to have a child in my book, there will always be something that you think will make it difficult, be it money or whatever. If you want another child, and you think that you can provide a loving stable environment for them to grow up in, then go ahead. Money isn't the be all and end all.

We live on a total of about 22,000 which INCLUDES all tax credits etc. We eat really well and all th bills are paid and we still manage to holiday twce a year. Having said this, they are British holidays, no Canary slands for us, and we don't smoke, drink or go out much, but, then, with seven, that would not really be an option anyway!!! I love my life and would never regret it or have it any other way! Also, the kids have seen so much of the British Isles that they put their abroady friends to shame!!

Rebel!!
When I found out I was pregnant with the 4th baby, MY mum said 'well, what are you going to do with it?'! Strange!
If you want another, have another, as you may regret not doing so when you are too old! But, be warned, you may end up like me!!!
