Tots Bots PUL wrap question

anchovies · 09/04/2006 19:13

Bought my ds a size 1 tots bots wrap that said it fits 10-20lbs but it is massive around his thighs despite him weighing 13lbs odd. Am I missing something obvious, it is supposed to be fitted around his legs isn't it?! Will I be better off with a different brand (motherease airflow maybe?)

ooo, i'll be very interested in any replies you get, as I have a size 2 wraps that also leave gaps around her thighs, which means wet clothes nearly everytime! maybe it could be a design fault then?

I haven't actually used these but have heard that they're not great. I use Motherease Rikki wraps (velcro) over muslins and Motherease Airflow over tots. Looking at the airflow you'd think that they'd leak but they never have - not once! They're really adjustable too as they have 3 sets of poppers so you just adjust accordingly.

We used tots wraps size 1 for a couple of months before we realised that we were changing dd's clothes all the time because the wraps were rubbish ... its not that the wee leaks out the sides its that the wee soaks into the trim and then the clothes (does that make sense?).

We switched to motherease rikki (over tots nappies) and no leakage whatsoever!

Totally rubbish in my oppinion, Motherease rikki or onelife popper wraps are my favs.

We never really got on with the Tots Bots wraps. The Motherease poppered ones worked much better even with Tots Bots nappies.

Agree with what others have said, it's the elastic trim that is the problem but if you don't want to waste the tots bots wraps they do work better if you pull them quite snug (they are stretchy) and overlap the velcro at the front, I use mine if we are in the house and able to change frequently - they're ok if the nappy doesn't get soaking. If you can, sell it to some other poor soul on ebay (plenty of new ones on there for exactly this reason!) and get some motherease!

Well the good news is that as I didn't use the wrap, just tried it on him, it went back in the post this morning and I have now ordered some motherease!

Thanks everyone!
