Ds who is 6 goes to bed between 745 and 8, story then asleep - usually before 830. he naturally wakes about 730-745 so is getting his 11 hours.

Weekends not much different unless its a special occasion, visitors staying etc but even then I try to make sure he's asleep by 9 as he doesn't sleep in yet and would be grumpy the next day.

4 and 6. Both are in bed at 7, 6yr old gets to keep his light on and read/play til about 7.40. No difference between weeknights and weekends.

I wish my DD would go to bed at 8pm, but even the nights I manage this, she will lie in bed and read for hours and hours.
She needs to be up by 6.45am - so its not ideal - and she sometimes falls asleep in the car on the way to school Sad

sorry forgot, she just turned 9 last week

I am going to try taking her up now, with a view to actual sleeping by 9pm (that would be major bonus)

No 3 year old. 8 nearly 9 year old 830-9 weekdays, whenever on the weekend. Just 6 year old 8-830 weekdays same at weekends TBH I think she could do with more sleep but DH gets in around 7:15 so not practical much earlier. Both up 7-730.

Mine are DS nearly 9 and DD nearly 7, we aim for lights out at 8 during the week and anything up to 9.30 on Fri and Sat.

DS goes to Cubs on a Tues and doesn't get home till 8.30 so obviously later that night. He doesn't need to be asleep at 8, but goes at the same time as DD and reads in bed. He also gets up by himself at 6.45 whereas DD has to be woken at 7.30 for school.

Just 4yr old naps at preschool 3 days a week, never does at home. Generally get him into bed 7/7:30, if he's had a good nap he'll sing or play with toys in bed for a while.

Currently babysitting my friends 6yo who is on bed about 8:30 weekdays and stays up til whenever on the weekends - I'm far too selfish and want my peaceful evenings!

My (non-sleepers) went to bed at 9 right from the start. Up at 7 or earlier.
