I have managed to find myself with a house full over Easter including three girls aged 10, 8 and 4. As a mummy of two boys and one baby girl (so she can not really advise yet), what are girls of these ages into at the moment? Ideas for entertainment and Eggs would be massively appreciated {smile}

DD (6) and I had a spa afternnon recently. We went shopping for face packs (got a gentle honey one), foot creams, nail varnish etc, a big chocolate cake and a muscial film on DVD. She loved it!

Crafty stuff - like jewellery making always go down well with girls of all ages in my experience !

my girls are not quite as old, but an educated guess would be fairies, princesses, jewellery making, face painting (into fairies/princesses), dressing up (into fairies/princesses), bratz and barbies, etc

if the weather is good; seed planting, easter eggs hunts, making homemade tents into princess castles, etc

craft stuff might go down well (although it depends on the girls of course)

simple stuff like felt tips, paper, colouring books or you could be more adventurous and collage stuff. (or make easter cards out of coloured paper and things)
egg decorating?
nail painting goes down well with our dd of 5 ... especially if you can get those nail stickers
dvds/videos ... you could rent some that they will enjoy with your ds's ... chicken little, wallace and gromit, (Mind is going blank but girls like that stuff as much as boys)
face painting kit to keep them amused for a bit
(BTW, these things might be best for a 4 year old girl ... )
How about making easter cakes (chocolate crispie nests and put carbury mini eggs in them)
games ... dd loves the junior uno, the older ones might be pursuded to play for a while. snap, pairs etc all popular in our house. Older ones might play other games.

one more idea ... t-shirt making. all the kids could do it. You can buy cheap white t-shirts in their sizes, and get paints, crayons, felt tips (dylon do it). Will keep them all amused for an hour or so. (4 year old will need a bit of help but others should manage most of it themselves.)

If you've only had boys so far, you'll be amazed at how long girls will sit at a table and make cards, draw stuff, write stories, etc. Get a load of collage stuff together and do a competition.
