Can I use bog standard olive oil for DS' dry skin?

What about aqueous cream? It's working wonders on mine and ds's dry skin. And it's very cheap!

Yes, used it with DD. Made her as slippery as an eel and smell like a salad but but worked a treat!

Yes I think so. Was told to use it for baby massage as the body can absorb it better (it being natural) then synthetic moisturisers and massage oils.

Yes, and it is a fantastic cure for cradle cap too, though smells horrid. Just massage into the scalp, leave for 10 minutes, then rub off with dry cotton wool. Makes a mess, but works a treat.

What's aqueous cream, Colditz? ( BTW)

It's like E45, but about half the price and without all the perfumes. It doesn't suit everyone, but it does suit us. You can get a 500g tub for £2 from most chemists. It's not too greasy either - sinks into the skin quite quickly.

I don't know if it is the same as E45 BTW, just that it feels similar.

Yep....I reckon it's a miracle cure for nappy rash and it certainly can do no harm.

olive oil working a treat!

I lather it onto ds's dry skin and it works really well (I need to do it every day though, you can tell if I miss a day). The GP recommended using olive oil to me.

Doesn't it go all greasy Sally?
