I personally LOVE the woman and the way she sorts out the kiddies prblems, I would love to have her help me but is going on the show a good idea?????
I mean the fact it's a tv show, very public, argh type thing.

No...hate all those Nanny/child doctor programmes.

Caligula · 24/03/2006 16:50

I would if I were desperate.

emkana · 24/03/2006 20:15

I always think it's a bit weird to expect a child with severe sleep problems to settle into a new sleep routine in a completely different/strange environment. Tbh that doesn't sit well with me. With other problems I think it's okay, but wouldn't do it myself.

I received an email asking if i=I would like to go on but dh declined, a week later I had another email requesting we take part but dh declined again.
Firstly, yes, dd2 is a handful and until recently never slept longer than 2 hours in 24 but why the hell would I want to go on there?

dollybird · 24/03/2006 20:58

Tegan, why did you receive an e-mail asking you to go on there if you and your dh didn't want to? I love the programme and TB, although the repitition is annoying - if they cut all that out they could fit the programme in 1/2 an hour!

Caligula · 24/03/2006 21:03

tbh Tegan if my children hadn't slept more than 2 hours in 24 I think I would feel desperate enough to do anything, including going on national TV.

I guess it depends on how old your children are and how well you can cope with the particular problem. I really don't think I could manage long-term sleep deprivation and I'd do anything to solve it.

No, imagine the children as adults seeing that they were a complete nighmare as a toddler and the whole country was able to see you at your worst.

tegan · 27/03/2006 19:02

I had received an email via magazine website I subscribe to asking which toddler taming programmes I watch. I replied saying that I watched tiny tearwaways and supernanny. The questionaire was sponsored by the bbc nd as such I was aked if I wanted to go on the programme.

spacecadet · 27/03/2006 19:04

someone from the house of tiny tearaways prog posted on my thread asking if i was interested in participating in the prog, as im having trouble with my ds but i dont want the nation watching me fail as a mother!

maltesers · 27/03/2006 21:18

havnt read all this thread but love the house of tiny Ts and think tanya is brilliant. Take her sound advice all mums with little tearaways.

trace2 · 27/03/2006 21:21

we got invited to go on, should have been this lot round, camras was bbc was coming to our house and i got cold feet, they was going to do befor then after youve been in house

dollybird · 27/03/2006 21:24

I didn't realise they asked people regardless of whether they knew they had a problem or not. Maybe they're having trouble finding people to go on as there's so many of these progs now?

Senoracod · 27/03/2006 21:25
