Rach I think I saw popper fluffles on thenappylady.co.uk
yep, just checked and I did :)

Never thought about the tight outfit/loose outfit thing - worth getting some different types.

At what age do babies reach about 18lbs then (I've forgotten - its been 11 years since I had DD) - I know it varies but roughly?

AggiePanther · 23/03/2006 13:39

Lol at his bum being a couple of inches higher than his head! Grin think I'll go for size 1's!!

Rach69 · 23/03/2006 14:09

18lb maybe 6 months? Depends on the baby really. Been a while since my kids were that small too. Ds is fine in size 2's now at 13lb+ and 3-6 months trousers (he is quite long too) I have bought some dungarees for the summer to avoid tight waists. Sooo cute Grin I would definitely get some size 1s to try, you will still get a few months out of them (ds will wear his until they don't fit) and you can sell them on.

I've got a whole set of stuff (Bambino Mios)suitable from birth-2 years, which I am thinking of selling.
About 30% of wraps are new, rest is used (and all the fluffier for it) if anyone is intersted.

staceym11 · 23/03/2006 17:11

i ,ight be interested moondog!

Well I've only used Bambinos so they have done the job for me.

Just read on a website that 'stay dry' boosters can't be used with fluffles. What are these and why can't they be used? Anyone know?

vkone · 24/03/2006 11:16

If by staydry you mean fleece topped, it's not a good idea to use two layers of fleece. Fuffles have a fleece inner and if you put a fleece topped booster under that the wee may run off rather than being absorbed - you can just put fleece side down to avoid this tho.

Ahh that makes sense thanks:)

MummyToToby · 06/04/2006 20:36

someone mentioned with the fleece wraps their baby gets a bit sweaty. do you get this with normal wraps?
also i really like the look of the rikki wraps and have heard great things about them, but one person told me the aplix digs in. has anyone else found this?

vkone · 07/04/2006 17:23

Fleece or wool wraps don't get sweaty because a small amount of the fluid evaporates, cooling the nappy down so that it's not so wet.

PUL can get sweaty in summer as it's usually bonded onto polyester which is a plastic. But this is only really noticable on a night nappy (12 -13 hrs say)
