Panicking toddler squashed newborn!! Neurotic mum!!

My toddler just loves to kiss his 6 week old sister. Twice this evening he has leant down to kiss her whilst in she's in her bouncer chair and he has inadvertently leant on her stomach area with one hand to balance himself as he goes down for the kiss. He's a big lad.
Do I need to get her checked?? Totally panicking he could've squashed her little insides. She was already grouchy so no clues there. She didn't scream or anything but im in a total flap and half in mind to rush off to a and e to get her checked.
Anyone had experienced of this?? Am I being totally neurotic?? ( am very sleep deprived!!)

Have you had a look at her tummy? Does it look unusually red, or does it seem bruised?

I would have a gentle press on her tummy at nappy change time, and see if she seems in any discomfort. If she does, off to A&E or ring NHS Direct (who will make you wait hours for a ring back, then tell you to go to A&E any way, since they take no risks with babies).

If you think she is not showing any signs of discomfort or soreness, you could always try and pop to your GP in the morning (assuming they are like mine and will see your baby at short notice).

I hope she's OK.

If she is not in any discomfort, I wouldn't bother.

Fwiw, dd1 kicked her three hour old brother in the head climbing onto the hospital bed to say hello.

This was captured by the local tv crew who were filming as ds1 was the regional new year's baby.

Babies are reasonably robust, fortunately. And toddlers are eventually trainable.

Thank you. Had a look and nothing obvious. Have gently felt all roubd her tummy and she doesn't seem particularly fussed. She's always grouchy evening times due to colicky reflux so no clues in that sense. She's pooped and had a feed but has bought the whole feed up (this happens quite regularly as she's just been diagnosed with milk protein allergy) Just so frightened as toddler is a great big hefty boy and she's so small. Freaked out as a friend of mine knew someone (adult) who had a blow to the abdomen and had internal bleeding- 1st he knew of it was when he collapsed. It's so hard to think straight when you're tired and hormonal! DD feeds every hour or so day and night so completely exhausted.
