Sorry if everyone already knows to do this(!) but I've just discovered this top tip and as helped save me one cash!

Dd is now 10 months old and have found that using her 0-3 dresses (the smock kind) as tops (paired with jeans etc) looks great and saves me buying tops in her size, plus she gets more wear out of some of her gorgeous dresses she's now outgrown.

Thought I would share Smile

What a cute Idea! Now Why didn't someone Tell me that when my children
Were little?

Funny - I accidentally went at it the other way around by getting a lot of hand-me-down 1-2yr old pretty tops and using them as dresses for my then little baby. She's now 16mo and wearing them the way they were intended!

not to do with clothes, but my mum (3 years after I had DC1) has come up with the brilliant idea of putting each clean nappy in the changing bag in a nappy sack so you have one ready at change time

always have bubbles in the changing bag

Never leave the house without a spare nappy.

We don't usually, but the one time I decided to risk it because we were in a hurry was not pleasant....

A clean and dry plastic milk bottle with a spoonful of rice or lentils in and the lid screwed (and possibly taped) back on makes a great rattle, with a good holding handle for little hands.

If your baby likes comfort blankets, as DD does, buy one big fleecy blanket and cut it into 4-6 squares (and edge them properly) so you have several identical blankets. That way you can't loose the 'one' comforter they love, but also you can always have a comforter to hand - we have one in the cot, one in the pushchair, one at the CM's and one at her grandparents.
