Need to buy some nappies.....

So I am expecting in Dec. With my last baby who is now 6, I used terries with motherease rikkis mainly and some tots bots when he was newborn.

I was just wondering what's new in nappies? Any revolutions in the reusable nappy department? or shall I stick with what I know/knew?

thankyou (can't wait to start looking!!)

I love my bumbles, from easy peasy nappies - its a terry cotton shaped birth to potty with a lovely soft fleece lining, I use them with one life wraps (similar to ME airflow ) or a bummis wrap and haven't had a leak yet, only been using them for a couple of months on a 12mo though. I think they would do pretty well with newborn poo tho. The review section on MN is helpful too.

Read some of the recent threads too, and visit the nappy lady website for a run down of all the options. Everyone has their favourites, but you may not agree. I had Fuzzis six years ago, and having tried a few new ones, have largely gone back to Fuzzis. My discovery is the more readily available bamboo, which has really helped with a heavy wetter, and overnight, but they take so long to dry!! Wraps have come a long way too, although rikkis are still good. Blueberries are worth a look. Pricy, but lovely prints.

You could also fill in the nappy lady's questionnaire on her website... She looks at your lifestyle, drying capabilities, preferences etc and comes up with suggestions for which nappies might suit you best, I found it a really good starting point for researching and buying.... Although I've since bought a few different types on recommendation of friends!

I'd agree with trying one of the advice questionnaires - I used The Nappy Lady and The Nappy Geek.

My personal favourites are Rumparooz and Real Easy nappies, and Bamboozle stretchies for overnight/longer periods.
