hi there..I am due for ds n.2 at Easter.first one is now 3 but still reluctant to walk long distances..thought of buying the very attractive Phil & Teds double buggy..as any of you experienced it and if so is it worth the money?
I would appreciate some unbias reviews.
take care

have tried it with a 4yo and 6mo and it was great. There are some good deals to be had on both eBay and the internet in general for new as well as used models.

alluka10 · 16/03/2006 16:19

thanks..I am actually wtaching some on ebay brand new 2006 model for less that £200.wish me good luck and I might just get it in time for the new baby arrival.
what if the toddler is quite alive..i mean if he is sitting in the upper seat and the newborn underneath would he disturb him with his kicking and moving?
and how practical is it without the coccon to take the infant from/to the lower position?
what about when you have both kids on seating position..the one at the back doesn't he/she have a restricted view of the world?and be subject to more dust and pollution being that close to the pavement?
what about the basket capacity?
sorry I am bombarding you with questions..
thanks in advance matnanplus

The newborn cocoon, although only used for a few weeks was really worth the money, I think without it, it would be quite difficult to get the baby in and out. I also found it great as you could easily remove a sleeping newborn to take indoors etc They are quite padded and look much more cosy for a newborn.
My two actually preferred the back toddler seat to the front.
The basket isn't huge so I bought the panniers aswell, although I didn't actually use them much as any big shopping trips I tended to do when Ds was in preschool and I took my dd in the maclaren.

I wouldn't put my newborn in it without the cocoon. I have the buggy, a 23 month old and a 4 week old. We really like it? Smile But you need the cocoon though for a baby so small, IMHO

jenthehen · 16/03/2006 16:51

oh and no the toddler didn't come into contact with the baby in the newborn position. Do be aware that the accessories do really bump the price up.

I love it so much i ave owned 4, i keep thinking oh we don't need that anymore or i'll try a new pram, selling my P&T's but i keep coming back to it because it is so good.
I have the apple green which looks fantastic and is filthy already !

alluka10 · 17/03/2006 11:53

yeah..the green apple is soo cute but then again it might pick up the dirt straight away..I am tempeted by the orange one...and will def buy the cocoon also..not sure about the panniers..are they worth buying?

I have a blue one which I did use but not for long and I then did pram and buggy board. It is blue and if you are interested in looking at it I live in London. I have rain covers, single and double, the cosy toes and back seat addition as well.

RedZuleika · 17/03/2006 12:44

I have the E3 as a single at the moment. The basic single model is only 9.7kg, which is much lighter than other buggies.

The only issue is that the parcel tray is difficult to get to when the buggy is in the newborn position. But I knew this before I bought it - and it's presumably why they sell the pannier bags.
