Sainsbury's basic nappies £1.41 for a packet of 20 (size 5) - what are they like?

I noticed that Sainsbury's do a really cheap nappy pack and just wondering if anyone has used them and what they are like?

I tried the Tesco super cheapos about 4 years ago with my oldest child and didn't like the plasticy outer and found them a bit useless.

Are the Sainsbury's ones also plastic on the outside? Does anyone use them and like them?

Fine, indeed Tesco and Asda ones are fine too now. No longer plasticky. I prefer the Tesco ones as I find they fit my child better. I use washables, but need disposables on occasion, like nursery and longer trips out when I do not want to be carrying dirty wet nappies around. The cheap ones are not very flexible around the waist, that is the only issue I have with them.

Yes, I also use the cheapy ones from tesco and morrisons. I try to use washables but use a disposable for over night and I have no problems with these

I did buy a pack of wilkos once and they were very plastic, so avoid them Smile

fuzzzzy have you tried bamboo overnight? Little lambs or tots bots with booster of bamboo? I thought I would never have a dry night in cloth, but these are great and my DDs wee for Scotland.

My DS has wee'd through them and the ones from Wilkinson's too. We've gone back to Pampers.

queen we use totsbots bamboo but I always think that when she has a booster in as well it looks so thick and uncomfy for her. I'll maybe give it a go one night and try again. The first time I tried, by morning she was soaked through vest, pjs, sleeping bag and the sheet was also damp!!

I have just gone back to cloth, so DD2 has gone from a slim disposable to a chunky cloth and it does look thick, but she loves it. She is 2 and I have the nappy with its attached bamboo booster, and another one too. She used to regularly wet the bed with a pampers, indeed all disposables I tried. I would give it another go with another booster.

Tesco value nappes have changed recently ( some time between 9mo and 2 years ago). They used to be really plasticky and unpleasant but the new ones work brilliantly. My 3.5 year old DS is wearing them at night and they never leak and seem really comfortable. I wish they did a bigger size!
