Dd has always been a great weight and on 75th. Last week she had a fever for 4 days so don't know if this has anything to do with it, but just got her weighed and she's only gained 3oz in 4 weeks.
Feel like a SHIT mum clearly I am not feeding my baby enough. Can't stop crying. Health visitor said it wasn't a good weight gain at all.

And this is why, with no3, she has only been weighed when I've had to do it (eg when she was tiny, at her 8m check etc).

Has she really veered off her line? How much has she eg put on in the last 2 months? Has she just started crawling? You've said she's been ill.

Weight gain isn't uniform as babies aren't robots. It makes me cross your HV has made you feel this way. No way should you be crying even if there was a problem with weight gain (and I doubt there is anyway)

Thank you spammer, she started crawling at 6months3weeks, but has recently started standing unaided - could this be a reason? She's very active and drinks 700 mls of forumla and 3 meals a day plus snacks. She's just below the 75th now. Its really made me doubt what I'm feeding her. Typical day would be:
6am - 200mls
9am - breakfast of porridge or cereal with fruit compot and half a slice of toast
11an - 200mls
1pm - lunch of chicken with sweet pot with sweetcorn or salmon, broccoli and cous cous (i usually alt between fish, lentils, chicken or beef plus veg and carb) with fruit and rice cake.
3pm -100mls
5pm - dinner in the same theme of lunch
7pm - 150mls

Does this sound right to you? Maybe portions are too small?

If she was hungry, she'd definitely let you know! Of course she'll eat less when she's poorly, it's normal, hence a smaller weight gain. You don't need to get her weighed every month, it's not necessary. As long as she's lively and energetic, bright eyed and bushy tailed and content, then she's fine. Ignore that HV with her charts and targets.

I was getting her weighed every 2 weeks, this time it was a month ago - is this far too excessive this? Thank you for the reassurance.
