Reusable nappies - question about dry pailing.

Last time I used washables, wet pailing was the preferred method. Now it seems dry pailing is the way to go.

Do you rinse them first? I rinse any poo off, but should I be rinsing the wet nappies too?

Many thanks.

Not sure if I do it the approved way, but I just chuck wet nappies in the pail. I rinse poo from the fleece liners though! DS2 is 2 and his nappies are still going strong.

That is what I am doing at the moment, but I was having a look through older nappy threads and this was mentioned. I have just treated myself to some new bamboo nappies, so do not want to hurt them.

Thank you for your input.

I only shake poo into the loo - anything sticky, I leave be. Never rinse wet nappies. I do empty the bucket and wash every day though, I don't leave wet or dirty nappies for more than 24 hours.

I just chuck the whole thing into the bucket - wet or dirty. I've only flushed stuff from a dirty nappy when it has been solid (constipated after taking infant Gaviscon). I wash every other day.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I will carry on as I am Smile
