What do you do re taking dc to the toilets at the beach?

Apologies if this is a really silly question.

We're going away to cornwall for 2 weeks and the beach that we'll be spending most of our time at (if the weather is good of course) doesn't really have many facilities. The loos that are there are not very nice ones and a bit of a distance away from the beach. So how do you deal with taking DC to the loo when they can't quite 'hold it' for long enough to walk to the manky loos. DD is nearly 5 but still hasn't quite got the knack of when she should tell us she needs the loo and even though the loo at home is next to the lounge, she often has accidents.

Like I said this is a daft question so apologies again.

Many Thanks in advance.
:)

Hello again thisisyesterday.

Just had a look and wondering if it would be good for my DD who is quite a tall nearly 5 year old. Do you know what age they go up to?

That could be the perfect solution so thank you so much for replying. :)

Oh that's perfect. DS is about potty training age so it'll be great for him so I'm going to order one now. Thanks again. That's really brilliant. Thanks

Hello again thisisyesterday.

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to you for your advice. We bought and took our pottette on holiday with us and it worked really well. Both my DD and DS were happy to use it and it helped us get our DS to use the loo for no.2's. sorry if that's too much info but no more poopy nappies for the first time in 5 years is so brilliant.

Thank you. :)

For future reference, rather than buying the expensive bags we used old supermarket carrier bags with a cheap sanitary towel in the bottom - worked just as well for a fraction of the cost :D

Thanks for the tip fuzzymum. I bought a bundle of bags with the pottette but when that runs out I'll definitely give that a go. :)
