Ok we are on holiday. While dh has the kids on the beach thought I would ask a quick question.
Youngest ds 2 has picked up a vomiting bug, although I don't think its a bug. He isn't clingy has no temperature, isn't peaky but after every meal or drink of milk he vomits. He can keep water down so isn't dehydrated and he is hungry and wants to eat, so we have been giving him toast.
Really not sure what's up with him, he is 2 and does a lot of hands in mouth and putting things in his mouth so I guess he has just picked something up.
This is day number 4 of being sick and I just wondered if you think it will just run its course and may take a week to clear up or if there is any medicine to settle his stomach, he hasn't passed it on so I am wondering if this is just something he has.
Sorry if I'm coming across as a bit thick but this is my first vomiting bug ever my eldest have never had sickness and I'm away if I was home I would just nip him to the GP.
Thanks for any insight as I am feeling a bit clueless.

I think the main thing is to keep him hydrated so if he is drinking that is good. What country are you in? Is he drinking bottled water etc?
Maybe get some rehydration sachets - we keep them with us as DC are prone to sickness and these seem to work a treat, even though DC complain they are 'yucky'. They are good as they help rebalance all the minerals lost through vomitting.
Even when my son had violent gastroenteritis at 2 and was sick for 2 weeks, all the doctors said was keep him hypdrated, rested and calpol if need be.
Good luck

Dioralyte is the ones we use if you can get them or similar

If you can't get Dioralyte then flat Coke diluted 50/50 with water and with a little bit of salt in it makes a pretty good substitute, though you may prefer him not to have the caffeine.
