Bedtime stories with 2 -A practical story telling chair for a grown up and 2 little ones?

Can anyone recommend a chair for a shared childs bedroom that would be suitable (and practical) for an adult to sit in and 2 little ones (baby and toddler at mo) for stories?

I have considered 'snuggle seats' but most of these are massive and in unpractical fabrics as I'm guessing aren't aimed at children.

I was thinking maybe a massive bean bag might work?

Not sure if I need to think outside the box? Have been doing stories on our bed but like the idea of having a story chair is poss for daytime naps too (and want to avoid anymore milk being spilt on our bed!Grin)

I've had this problem.

didn't find a perfect solution as childrens ages gaps and stages of development change every few months, but some ideas that might help :

Chase-longe (can get refurbished ones from Twice as Nice and from British heart foundation funriture stores for around £50).
Massive floor cushions (quieter than bean bags when the wriggle and crawl about)
Day-Bed (can jazz-up an old cot-bed by taking one of the sides off and putting thin cushions around the frame)

www.heals.co.uk/sofas/waltzer-swivel-loveseat-malmo-fabric/invt/waltzermalmo I realise this is over the top expensive but the style works, maybe you can find something similar at a better budget?

It's not practical, in that it is blooming expensive, but I would love this

Thanks for those. Love the Heals chair and similar ebay one but are very big - I suppose a certain size is needed to fit in all 3!

While the rocking chair looks god, not sure how comfy it would be and bonkers prices.

May have to look at floor cushions options or just give in and have normal chair..

We have a single futon in my son's room as a small sofa, we use it as a story chair and easily fits a grown up and two kids or even two grown ups and a kid. It also doubles up as a spare bed for when my son has sleep overs.

A pop up tent with pillows?

Their bed, we've alreadys read on their bed, everyone snuggled together (not in bed, just sitting on the middle of the bed).

We did have an ikea chair (Tullsta) between the two single beds that worked OK, sometimes they sat on laps/edges, just a simple bucket chair thing. Not suitable for sleeps, but worked for stories etc.

I like the futon idea. I suppose once the children are both in beds, stories on the beds is a simple solution. We're 2 cots at the moment, so not possible at the mo but I'm sure Dc1 will be heading towards a bed by the end of the year.

DD's are 4 and 2.2 We have bedtime story on their beds ( we alternate beds each night)

Other than that we have stories on their beanbags. Massive Fatboy Beanbags, then jump into their beds to sleep. We used these when they were in cots. Now its mostly on beds as they now both sleep in beds. The beanbags are popular for general book reading though.

Downstairs they take their booster seats off the dining room chairs and sit next to the bookcase on them! :)

DD's room used to be the spare room, and the sofa bed is still there for visitors . She is still in a cot, so we sit on there when we do stories in her room. Since she's started to crawl, we"ve all sat on the floor. When we do stories in DS's room, we sit on the bed ( or floor).
