Distance Masters but not OU?

I was wondering if anyone has successfully completed a distance masters, but not through the OU?

I'm specifically looking at a course offered through the University of Central Lancashire, which is very specialised and is distance learning based online. I will finish my English Literature BA through the OU next year, and I love learning through the OU, but I'm suspicious of the quality of online learning from other universities, having just had some experience with Plymouth Uni which was dire.

All advice welcome as I'm wibbling about even thinking about doing a masters!

I'm interested in this too as starting a distance learning MA in September. I did a bit of reading round and looked at the league tables/newspaper reports on the different courses and quality of the courses. I chose mine because it's partly a blended course ie, with some face-to-face seminars. But I don't have much idea what to expect really.

Has anyone else done a distance learning MA?

My DH did an MBA through Warwick Business School Long Distance Learning.
I don't know about English Lit, tho'

I didn't think to look at league tables, for some reason I didn't think distance learning would be included. I'm not sure I want a blended course, because I can't commit to specific times due to my job.

How did your DH find Warwick mumblechum? Their medical school offers another course I am interested in.

Alternatively I could take a year career break and do a full on masters...but I'm too scared!

The face to face stuff is weekend only (three a year). I just wanted to get to know the people behind the course IYKWIM.

At the moment I'm a bit Shock at the hike in fees from last year to this though. F they increase this much every year, not sure I can afford to do it...

Yes the money is a huge issues, although even the OU is expensive now compared to when I started my BA.
