Have heard they're good but look like a huge thing to have in your living room!! Are they worth buying?

I got ours for DS when he was 3 months old, and he used it until he was about 8 months old. For those 5 months it was an absolute godsend - he loved it, and I got a break.

DD used it for the same duration as well, and then I sold it on ebay for half what I paid for it, so in terms of cost/hour of peace and a break from the kids it was absolutely 100% worth it :)

We were given one when DD was 6 months. She loved it. It is saved for baby #2. She also loved her exersaucer. It was given to me by a lovely lady I met in the park. For some reason she did more poops in that thing than anywhere else.

Both my DCs adored it. A great place to put them so that you can be handsfree for a while! We used it around 6-10mo for both of them.

We sold ours on after two DCs for £40-odd, so I think that's a pretty decent investment, for all the use we got from it (tons!).

6 mo DD has one and she loves it.

KittieCat · 23/07/2012 06:40

We had one and DS loved it, as did I because it meant he was happy while I had a cuppa!

I was concerned about the size but it actually doesn't seem that big once it's up as it not a 'solid' structure if you see what I mean.

Quite expensive but you can get them on eBay. I'm going to sell ours on there... if I ever get round to it!

ComeTalkToMe · 23/07/2012 08:24

My DD 7 months has one - she loves it and I love the peace for 10 minutes! I will hopefully use it for a second child and then sell it on, for me a good investment!

BillyBollyBandy · 23/07/2012 08:25

Both dd's loved it and is now being used by dnephew. Great investment!

SalsaP · 23/07/2012 13:51

My ds loves his too! I only usually let him have a blast of about 20 mins in the afternoon though as I heard its possibly not too good on their hip development to be left in it for lengthy periods. It is bulky but I've given in to the fact that my lovely living room is now a chaotic playroom!

SoozleQ · 23/07/2012 14:21

Hell yeah, they can't escape from them, they seem to have a good time in them and DD even managed to fall asleep in hers. Gives you the opportunity to at least go for a wee knowing they won't be able to electrocute themselves or eat anything inappropriate while you are more than an arm's length away. Well worth it.

I got mine from Argos while they had an offer on, plus used an internet code, I think. In total I paid £65 for it new although there are plenty on eBay if you can be arsed with that.

Ours is up in the loft waiting for number 2 to be ready for it. Well enough made to still be going strong for lots of further use in spite of DD's best efforts to pull the hanging down things off and easy to clean up the inevitable milky pukes from. (Sorry for the terrible grammar)

GET ONE. DS went through a phase of just wanting to be held or entertained 24/7 and the Jumperoo was the thing that gave us 15 minutes of reprieve here and there. Looking back on it it seems trivial (as DS at 14m can very happily entertain himself with his toys for ages as long as someone else is in the room with him) but at that point in time it was a godsend. Keeping our one for when we have another.

pingulingo · 23/07/2012 15:38

Definately get one - off ebay/gumtree if you want a cheaper option. But get one! My DS is 10 months and still loves it - he has just started crawling and it is fantastic for keeping him safe whilst I pop out of the room, and when he is too grumpy to nap it burns off enough energy so he gets sleepy enough to be put down.

allypally1983 · 23/07/2012 16:18

yes they are amazing...i want an adult one!!!! my lo is only 9 weeks and hasnt quite got the hang of it but shes still intrigued, theyre not that big and would fit in most living rooms. i got mine off ebay for £50. also you can adjust the heights for when they get bigger

candr · 24/07/2012 21:12

DS loved the one we were lent and used it till he started crawling. He got annoyed then that it wouldn't move like his walker so we replaced it with playpen. He loved using the jumperoo and we will def have one for baby number 2.

booksandchoc · 24/07/2012 21:16

DD loves hers. Got it when she was 4 months but she didn't really like it till about 5 months and now at 6 months she goes mad jumping for ages. We got her a vtech spin and play activity centre for at my mums but she doesn't like that as much. Think I am just going to sell it on.

DancesWithSockPuppets · 25/07/2012 10:06

Lifesaver. We have ours on the landing so I just drop him in it when I need a wee/shower/hide in the bathroom for some peace and quiet etc.

zambooloo · 25/07/2012 14:05

We got one 2nd hand on gum tree - it was like new & only cost me £35 so worth a look!

Familyguyfan · 25/07/2012 14:54

My daughter adored hers and it really was a life saver when I wanted a cup of tea or needed to nip to the loo. We bought it second hand off eBay and sold it on eBay for £5 more than we paid for it!
