Did changing formula from follow on to toddler milk cause any problems?

Hi!

My LO is just over one year and I have tried to change her formula from the follow on milk (6mths +) to the toddler milk as she is not interested in cows milk at all. She seems to get a stomach ache from the toddler milk though, and one morning she threw up after having the morning milk and breakfast - whether that is just a coincidence though I don't know..

I have just endured a night of screaming (I am pretty sure LO had tummy ache by the way she was behaving.. and she had a lot of wind) and I have feel guilty if I am causing it by giving her the toddler milk!

Has anyone else had a similar problem when changing the formula and also does anyone know whether it is ok to give the follow on milk for over one year old..?

Confused

Most people just give normal milk, they don't need follow on milk. Have you considered using normal milk? Much less of a faff too:)

Doesn't matter if she doesn't like cows' milk to drink, she can get the calcium she needs from cheese, yogurt etc (full-fat, obviously). I wouldn't bother with the toddler milk, it's a marketing con.

I used toddler milk with my first with no problem.
Didn;t bother with my second - went straight to cows milk, but i used to mix it with formula milk first over a period of time i.e. starting off with mostly formula with a splash of cows milk, ultimately increasing the cows milk ratio till thats all it was. I did this over a few weeks i think.
I think formula is sweeter which is why cows milk doesn;t seem so appealing
Would also agree not to get too cuaght up on drinking milk as long as she is having cheese, yoghurt etc
