What else to do with a crawler

Dd is 7.5 months, I take her to baby classes and soft play but when they are not on what else can I do? We play with toys at home but he really wants to be active.

Thank you.

On sunny days go to the park. DS loved the swings and slide at that age.

Swimming.

Or messy play at home. If you get some lining paper or cheap wallpaper, stick a really long piece down somewhere in your house ( usually the kitchen here) or on the patio outside. Have some paint on paper plates and let her crawl in the paint and then the paper to make prints of her hands/feet/knees etc.

Get a tunnel and pop up tent, they love crawling through the tunnel (can be used inside as well as out). Make an assault course with cushions (kept my DD entertained for ages at that age!)

Velcro the carpet and the babygrow Grin

Pit them on the running machine?

I love the assault course with cushions idea! Will give that a try today. Thanks.

I was going to suggest swimming but I just saw someone already had that idea. Are you near the seaside? A sandy beach and a spade can provide hours of fun for a crawler.

Alabama100 · 10/07/2012 13:13

We're not near the seaside but that would be a lovely idea.
