He's quite excited about it at the moment, he chose some cool Marvel Superhero ones. I can see the novelty wearing off and there being a few scenes.

Anyone's else's kids where them full time? How long did it take them to adjust and wear them automatically without a fuss? He is 9.

My Dd has been wearing them full time for a year now, she is almost 5. We haven't had any problems, mostly I think because she can see better with them on, so she prefers to wear them! There are some great kids glasses now which definately helps.

Thanks. Hopefully it will work out like that for him too then.

I felt really bad actually as I never suspected, till I saw him screwing his eyes up trying to look at something.

No, we had no clue either, thankfully it was picked up through preschool screening. We've found that she has been much more interested in writing and drawing since the glasses (she is long sighted). It will probably be a great thing for your ds.

Ds1 has had glasses ft since age 4, no probs.
He has sports glasses as well, well worth it if your ds is into sports.

my son has worn them full time since he was 6 - he is really short sighted - he will be 12 tomorrow and is now really keen to get contact lenses. He has always worn his glasses with no issues - it's the first thing he reaches for in the morning and the last thing to put down at night. Because of the strength of his prescription, we pay to have his lenses thinned down and as he is a keen swimmer he has prescription goggles too.

I am sure your son will get used to his glasses quickly.

My son is 8 and has recently started wearing glasses, no problems at all - lots of kids wear them in class, no damage and no losses (touch wood).

He'll be fine.
