Babykind are selling them 3 for 2 in March. Don't usually use AIO's, but wondered if they would be good for DD when she starts at childminders. She is nearly 5 months now, on the sturdy side and quite a heavy wetter, though wasn't planning on using them for nights. Has anyone tried them? Would appreciate views.

Hi Marytee,

I've got a couple of swaddlebees for my ds who is a chunky 7 mth old and also a heavy wetter. He takes a large size. They are lovely and soft and slim and very easy to use once you have stuffed the pocket - they also dry very fast because you can remove the stuffing, unlike the AIOs-proper. However, I don't think they are particulary absorbent; we've had a few leaks and I reckon they need changing more often. Also, because they are so slim, you really need to use the swaddlebee insert; microterry or hemp - personally I prefer microterry. One thing I do do to increase absorbency is add a very slim booster in the pocket, such as a kushies one - this seems to really help. I don't want to sound too negative about them as I do love them and they look great - but they don't have quite the reliability of a 2 part system or indeed some other pocket nappies such as fuzzis or wonderoos. Sorry for long post!

HTH

Thanks for the info [smile}. I still can't decide what to do!! Think i want the ultimate nappy that of course doesn't exist. And hoping to convert DD's childminder, so looking for something as easy and reliable as possible.

Hi Lizzy,
I have a cloth nappy review site, it's to help cloth users choose nappies, but reading about how others have got on with their cloth nappies. I have just added Swaddlebees as a category, so far two people who use them have left feedback, I was wondering if you would like to add a review.

It's all in a good cause. Grin
