defrosting home made puree - help!

Hi. I have been weaning my Lo for 2 weeks now, he turned 6 months last weekend. Just having a mini panic here as I have been reading online how people defrost and heat up their purees. Most are defrosting in the fridge overnight and others are using the microwave to defrost then often heating it up in a pan on the hob. I haven't been doing either! I have been putting frozen puree straight into a pan on the hob and defrosting/heating it like that in one go. Is that wrong and dangerous? We've not had any problems but dont want to be putting my lo at risk. What do you all do? Many thanks.

The main thing you risk is burning the puree, assuming it's a reasonably small amount. Microwaving with regular stirs makes that less likely.

i think as long as you are bringing puree to boiling point and simmering for a few minutes that will be fine.

i think however that method may impair flavour and probably reduce nutritional content of puree.

i used to defrost in microwave then heat on full for rrequired amount of time.

don't worry!
